The Wright State University Army ROTC Alumni Association exists to help keep alumni, cadets, and cadre members in touch with each other. The Association also exists to aid the WSU Army ROTC program in any way we can. The association was started in 2001 and continues to grow in members, influence, and capacity. Known as the Raider Battalion, Wright State University Army ROTC has been training future Army officers since 1972 and had its first graduating class in 1976. The Alumni Association is proud to have over 250 graduates currently in our ranks. WSU Army ROTC Alumni, Cadets, and Current and Former Cadre are all eligible to be members of WSU Army ROTC Alumni Association. There is no cost to join.

Background on 2LT Eric Payton and Scholarship Fund

2LT Eric Payton was a person to be modelled. He could influence the most stubborn person. 2LT Payton was the cadet battalion commander of WSU Army ROTC. He commissioned after the spring quarter of 2001 with his masters. He went to Fort Sam Houston for his Officer Basic Course. After the diagnostic PT run he collapsed. They had found a brain tumor when they brought him to the hospital. A few days later he died.
In the extended text there is an article from a newsletter put out from WSU.

New RaiderBattalion.com

I launched the new RaiderBattalion.com site recently (September 2008)! It's still a work in progress but the software I've used should make it easier to update and it is significantly more flexible. Thanks to everyone who has supported this effort. Send me an email if you have any questions or comments!
